Lightest Double Stroller
When looking for a lightweight double-stroller that folds, the size and weight are crucial aspects to take into consideration. Choosing one that's easy to maneuver and compact when not in use will make it easier to fit into the trunk of your car, and to maneuver through airport gates and foreign streets.
The best strollers that are lightweight have a lightweight, easy fold and self-standing mechanisms to reduce stress on parent bodies. Many strollers come with various seating options and some are able to accommodate car seats for infants.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Designed for the family traveling. Lightweight and easy to carry in one hand compact fold. All-terrain wheels with front suspension, as well as a multi-position reclining seats accommodate children up to 50 lbs. The tray for parents and kids, large storage basket, and 3-tiered extended canopy with peekaboo window provide maximum sun protection.
The Cloud scored one of the lowest marks in our quality tests because it has a thin, hard plastic seat and a design that feels dated. It's also costly compared to other strollers with lighter weights, so it's not the best option when you're looking for an economical alternative.
Although it's not the lightest double stroller, it has enough features worth considering. Its swiveling wheels make it easy for you to move it around flat surfaces. It can also leap over curbs with ease. The low handle of the Cloud is a drawback however, as it's at knee level and isn't adjustable. It's uncomfortable to push with your legs hanging in the air, and it doesn't help that it's not padded.
During our tests, we found the Cloud to be simple to set up and open. It's a little more challenging to close the cloud, however. You have to slide a slider and then pull a big white button to cause it to collapse. It can be quite frustrating particularly if you're trying to keep track of kids at the same time.
The Cloud has a small, but deep storage basket that will accommodate a medium-sized diaper bag. It's a bit narrow, though, and you'll likely have to put something in to reach back to retrieve it. The Cloud includes an adult tray and a child tray, each with two cup holders. However, both are too narrow for larger bottles or cups.
Kolcraft is an established family business that has been operating since 1946. The first products they made included diapers and crib pads however, they now make a wide range of baby items including highchairs and infant car seats, strollers and toys. The company is based in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist style that's perfect for trips. It's light at 18 pounds (lighter than many single strollers!) and it folds flat for easy transportation and storage. It also comes with independently reclined seats, large all-weather SPF 50 sun visors that have peekaboo windows and extra-large storage bags underneath the seat. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate kids of different heights. Additionally, it comes with a one step linked parking brake and is Disney-size approved.
The swivel wheel of the Jeep is also ideal for maneuvering over bumps and uneven terrain. This stroller is not compatible with car seats. Your child must be at least six months old and have a good neck control to be able to ride in the front seat. It does have an attractive, three-panel sun canopy, however, and each seat has its own snack tray as well as cup holders for parents.
Another extremely light side-by-side stroller is Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend. It's a little heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 pounds, but it's thin and slim (26.5 inches wide!) It's got a lot of exquisite details that make it perfect for travel. It is easy to fold, is very maneuverable and can be tucked away in the overhead compartments of airplanes and trunks easily.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, similar to the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It's quite similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, however, it does have a few key differences. It's a bit more expensive, but has a better sun canopy and better maneuverability. It also comes with a handy carry strap and can accommodate children as heavy as 44 pounds per seat.
pushchairsandpramsuk for Infants CS+
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a stroller that is light with a lot of features. It's not just lightweight, weighing just 13 pounds but also comes with a ton of storage, including child and parent cupholders and a sippy-cup bag for the child as well as a pocket for storage for parents, etc. This stroller can also fit the car seat of your child and comes with a brake that is easy to engage that can be used flip-flop. This stroller is designed to grow along with your child. It can be transformed from a baby stroller into a toddler stroller by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separate) and is suitable for children 6 months and up.
Another thing to consider about this stroller is that it operates on swivel wheels, and doesn't have locking capabilities, so it might not be the best choice for rocky or hilly terrain. It maneuvers well on pavements, as well as other smooth surfaces it's a great choice for most families.
This is among the lightest and compact double strollers that comes with full-size features. The quick-close feature allows you to fold it down with just one hand in seconds, and it's small enough to store easily in your trunk or garage. It can also be used a travel stroller and is compatible with a variety of car seats without the need for extra adapters.
In contrast to most strollers that are lightweight unlike other strollers that are lightweight, the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ features two seats that can carry up to 50 lbs. per seat (100 lbs total). The seats come with a recline that can be adjusted in multiple positions, separate leg rests, and three-panel canopies with flip-out sun visors and windows that can be seen from a distance.
The seats are padded to ensure your little one's comfort and come with a padded 5-point safety harness that adjusts to three height positions. Each seat comes with an infant cushion that is perfect for babies. Parents will love the parent and child cup holders, a cell phone holder, as well as a large storage basket. The stroller can also be outfitted with the Yoyo+ Board, which turns it into an additional stroller.
Joovy X2 Kooper
The Kooper X2 is an excellent choice for parents who want a stroller that is light and can accommodate two children. The sling-style seats are comfy and offer a similar amount of headroom, allowing children to be seated together. The Kooper X2 is unique in that it comes with a completely reclining seat, which makes it an ideal choice for napping. Its recline mechanism is simple to use but doesn't go genuinely flat; taller kids may notice an unbalanced leg when they sit in a reclined position. It also has a huge canopy that we found to be more effective at blocking the sun's rays than other strollers in our review of the best double strollers.
The stroller is lightweight enough to to move through door frames. This was a major issue with other models we tried. It is easy to fold and the handlebars are located close to the ground. Its only downside is its relatively small storage space, which is uncomfortable when filled with kids' toys.
Joovy is a family-owned business that makes unique functional, high-quality and durable baby products. Their product line includes innovative baby bottles, such as the Joovy Zoom X2 Double stroller and a unique raincover that fits an array of popular strollers. The company's products are reasonably priced, and they often come with fun designs that attract children.
In our tests on double strollers, we look at multiple factors to determine how simple the stroller is to use, including how easy it is to set up and fold and adjust the safety harness and open and close the brakes, raise and carry the stroller as if placing it into a trunk of a car and install and remove the infant car seat (if applicable). We also looked at the durability and strength of the stroller, as well as whether the strollers have a tray for parents that can accommodate both child trays.
The Joovy Kooper X2 earned the top score for ease of use in our most recent update of our top double strollers guide, as well as one of the top scores in our Strollers test program overall. Its simple-to-use design features an easy-to-use, tilt-free recline with one hand and a canopy that rotates to the side for shade and has ventilation mesh you can see through when it's tilted. There are also individual child trays with built-in cupholders, zipper parent pockets, and an extra-large storage basket.
